Les sympt\u00f4mes de la s\u00e9cheresse oculaire sont souvent dus \u00e0 une maladie des paupi\u00e8res appel\u00e9e Meibomitis ou Blepharitis. Les glandes s\u00e9bac\u00e9es des paupi\u00e8res, appel\u00e9es glandes de Meibomius, peuvent s'enflammer en raison d'une accumulation de s\u00e9bum, de peaux mortes, de bact\u00e9ries et de maquillage, entre autres. Ces glandes lib\u00e8rent normalement des huiles dans les yeux pour emp\u00eacher l'\u00e9vaporation des larmes. En cas de meibomite, elles sont obstru\u00e9es et, si elles ne sont pas trait\u00e9es, elles peuvent dispara\u00eetre d\u00e9finitivement. C'est pourquoi il faut la traiter avant qu'elle ne s'aggrave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traitement de la s\u00e9cheresse oculaire : Compresses chaudes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bien qu'il n'y ait pas de rem\u00e8de contre la s\u00e9cheresse oculaire, il existe des rem\u00e8des et des traitements qui permettent d'att\u00e9nuer les sympt\u00f4mes et d'am\u00e9liorer l'\u00e9tat de l'\u0153il pour le soulager. L'un des traitements de la s\u00e9cheresse oculaire consiste \u00e0 appliquer de la chaleur sur les yeux ferm\u00e9s, ce qui favorise l'ouverture des glandes de Meibomius et permet \u00e0 l'huile durcie de s'\u00e9couler dans les yeux. L'utilisation d'un gant de toilette avec de l'eau chaude peut fonctionner, mais il se refroidit apr\u00e8s seulement 2 ou 3 minutes et doit \u00eatre r\u00e9chauff\u00e9 fr\u00e9quemment.
