Commen\u00e7ons par l'exposition aux rayonnements. Limiter son exposition au soleil et, bien s\u00fbr, porter des lunettes de soleil de qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur est la meilleure habitude \u00e0 prendre pour r\u00e9duire l'effet n\u00e9faste des rayons du soleil sur nos yeux au fil des ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que le tabagisme accro\u00eet le risque de DM, il s'agit l\u00e0 d'une \u00e9vidence : ne fumez pas. Si vous le faites, r\u00e9duisez au moins la quantit\u00e9 de cigarettes que vous fumez ou arr\u00eatez compl\u00e8tement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout comme pour la sant\u00e9 en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et la pr\u00e9vention des maladies cardiovasculaires et du diab\u00e8te, le fait de rester aussi actif et en forme que possible a un effet direct sur la sant\u00e9 des yeux \u00e0 long terme. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu'il existe un lien entre l'ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et la DM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et comme vos parents vous l'ont dit, mangez des l\u00e9gumes ! L'alimentation peut avoir un effet protecteur important sur la sant\u00e9 de vos maculas. Les vitamines antioxydantes appel\u00e9es z\u00e9axanthine et lut\u00e9ine, que l'on trouve dans de nombreux l\u00e9gumes vert fonc\u00e9 et color\u00e9s, sont utilis\u00e9es par les cellules r\u00e9tiniennes pour rester en bonne sant\u00e9 et, si vous en mangez suffisamment, elles peuvent avoir un impact. Ces vitamines contribuent \u00e0 la formation de pigments dans nos r\u00e9tines. Le pigment est une bonne chose, car il absorbe les radiations nocives du soleil et des appareils \u00e9mettant de la lumi\u00e8re bleue. On le trouve dans des l\u00e9gumes comme le chou vert, la moutarde, les \u00e9pinards, le chou fris\u00e9, la bette \u00e0 carde, les poivrons orange et rouges (oui, les carottes aussi), et d'autres encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme il faudrait en manger 8 \u00e0 10 portions pour en obtenir suffisamment, ce qui n'est pas aussi probable qu'on l'esp\u00e8re, je recommande toujours un suppl\u00e9ment quotidien. Sans compter que l'achat des l\u00e9gumes n\u00e9cessaires pour obtenir l'effet d\u00e9sir\u00e9 co\u00fbterait beaucoup plus cher. Lorsque nous constatons des signes pr\u00e9coces de l\u00e9sions maculaires, des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents familiaux ou une combinaison de facteurs de risque, je prescris soit une vitamine appel\u00e9e AREDS 2 par Eye Promise, soit une autre appel\u00e9e Macuhealth. Ces deux produits sont excellents et apportent \u00e0 nos yeux ce dont ils ont besoin pour r\u00e9duire le risque de d\u00e9veloppement ou de progression de la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Que pouvons-nous faire pour \u00e9viter de d\u00e9velopper une DM \u00e0 un stade pr\u00e9coce de notre vie ?
